Bespoke Spain Itineraries

Days 1 - 3
Between the Royal Palace's Bourbon grandeur and the Bernabéu's atmospheric stands lies the essence of Madrid - mornings spent admiring Goya's brushstrokes and evenings hopping from vermouth bars to century-old tabernas.
Begin on your first day, with the regal splendour of Madrid's Royal Palace, where centuries of Spanish history bellow through the gilded halls, before emerging into the lively heart of Madrid - Plaza Mayor. Days 2 and 3 unfold in a perfect tempo for the city - marvel at Velázquez's masterpieces in the Prado, row across Retiro Park's lake under the watch of marble statues, and find yourself drawn to tapas bar after tapas bar - where jamón ibérico and patatas bravas reign supreme. On your final day in the city, soak up Gran Vía's illustrious shopping stretch before spending an evening in Santiago Bernabéu, a once in a lifetime experience for any sporting fan and a fitting tribute to Madrid's spirited personality.

Days 4 - 7
From the Islamic artistry of the Alcázar to the intensity of Flamenco, your next step weaves through Seville's layered history before crossing into Córdoba's timeless beauty.
In Seville, you're invited to encounter an entirely new facade of Spain; from the Moorish architecture of the Alcázar to the Gothic vaults of Seville Cathedral, this city is notably different from Madrid. The following days unfold in a dance of Andalusian culture - a moment spent gazing at Plaza de España's ceramic-clad grandeur, an afternoon getting lost in Santa Cruz's winding alleys, an evening admiring the passion of flamenco at an intimate tablao. After spending time in the nieghbourhood of Triana, move northwards towards Córdoba, where the Mezquitas stand tall next to Roman Bridges that have seen centuries of history, and the Alcázar's gardens whisper tales of Ferdinand and Isabella - a magnificent finale to Andalusia's rich tapestry.

Days 8 - 12
Your journey briefly takes a turn for the slower-paced life of Granada’s cobbled hills, Moorish palaces and free-flowing tapas, before Málaga’s sun-bleached ruins and Picasso-blue seas offer a final sigh of coastal ease.
The Alhambra offers you a first glimpse of geometric stuccoes and intricate archways, the Patio de los Leones sitting primely in the historic centre of this citadel; a complex blend of palaces, gardens and forts. An itinerary could spend days here, but by noon, you’re adrift in the neighbourhood of Albaicín. Order a tinto de verano, and expect your table to overflow with local pan con tomate and smoky grilled octopus. The seafood is incomparable to that of Malaga, with its bright salt spray and fried anchovies at Baños del Carmen. Here, your final days are spent exploring Picasso’s his hometown and the subsequent Blue Period of his work. Underfoot, Roman mosaics offer a deeper sense of history, one that is matched by the verdant greens of the Jardín Botánico-Histórico La Concepción, the perfect place to sit in the shade and enjoy a moments piece before your return journey.
