21st, 22nd & 23rd December
Celebrate the Winter Solstice on the beautiful estate. Explore the 438 acres with estate walks and movement classes, let your children join the magic of mud & guts adventures and the Heckfield tree hunt. Into the evening, follow the light – guests will wind their way by candlelight to watch the moon and stars with Sirius Astronomy’s Paul Hill . Luxuriate with beautiful cocktail-shaking, Christmas tea and festive movies each day.

24th December - CHRISTMAS EVE
Ho ho hoof… Meet Father Christmas and his reindeer in the afternoon, before Christmas tea in the Drawing Room. Carol singers make a grand entrance in the Hall, followed by a delicious dinner in Marle. Take a candlelit walk through our Winter Wonderland to find the Minstrel. Those who wish can attend Midnight mass in Heckfield church and Christmas stockings will be delivered for those who are good. During the day, enjoy activities from yoga and cycling to wildlife walks.

25th December - CHRISTMAS DAY
Traditional and cosy, join together for a heart-warming family time and delicious food. All gather in the Hall for a glass of Champagne before feasting on a beautiful lunch in Marle. The afternoon includes Christmas cake and mince pies in the House with games and charades by the fireplace. Round off the evening with a festive movie in the Dolby Atmos screening room. Activities available as usual in the morning — and later, for those who are still hungry, there is supper in the Hearth.

26th December - BOXING DAY
Boxing Day fun and games feature movement classes, walks, along with archery and falconry to walk off yesterday’s feasting. Sporting events will be shown in the screening room.

27th, 28th, 29th & 30th December
Between Christmas and New Year, join in with a range of Heckfield estate activities and movement classes, movies and great food. On the 28th, join attend the annual puppet show.

31st December - NEW YEAR’S EVE
You are welcomed to a 6-course Dinner in Marle, followed by music and a party in the House and the Moon Bar. Look skyward to mark the end of 2019 : enjoy Heckfield Place’s celebratory fireworks.

1st January - NEW YEAR’S DAY 2020
A perfect way to start 2020 : good food and a movie in the screening room.

4th January
The last of the Christmas period, join in with some a-wassailing. Join a traditional music al troupe to encourage an abundant harvest in our orchards walking from the house down to the farm.
